Training Programs

  • Competition Obedience: Winter 2024

Joan will be teaching small classes in competition obedience starting in January. More details will become available later this year. Message us for more information.

  • Private & Semi-Private Lessons

Lessons are conducted according your goals and individualized training plans, not a class syllabus. Semi-private lessons can be arranged for 2 handler/dog teams working toward similar goals.

We can work on a wide range of training goals together: basic manners and obedience, extinguishing nuisance behaviors, tricks, canine sports, physical conditioning, or a combination of objectives.

  • Boot Camp

Each day of Boot Camp will start with 15-30 minutes of basic obedience exercises (stays and recalls). The remainder of the day will include some combination of conditioning exercises, parkour workouts, forest hikes, and swimming.

Great option for owners looking to provide enrichment and exercise for their dog.

    Maximum 3 dogs per trainer.

Pickup and delivery of your dog to your home or work place available.

  • Social Studies

Social Studies is a class I lead once a week to coach my advanced clients as they handle their dogs in public spaces around Corvallis. We work on loose leash walking, polite greetings and counter-conditioning techniques to prevent the dogs from spinning out of control. Social Studies are 90 minute drop-in sessions, stay for the whole session or stop by for a few minutes. A minimum of 3 private lessons are required with me before participating in Social Studies.
